05/01/2009 Vertex Updates TXDOT "Click It or Ticket" Site
It's the start of the summer driving season again, and Texas Department of Transportation wants to make sure Texans are buckling up for safety. More local and state law enforcement officers are on the road, and TXDOT wants to be certain the state's drivers know the importance of fastening their safety belts. To this end, TXDOT, working with the Sherry Matthews Advocacy Marketing agency, has hired Vertex to update last year's successful educational Web site, www.texasclickitorticket.com.
This year's site features an interactive display of just some of the hundreds of law enforcement professionals who will be monitoring Texas roads during this summer driving season. Users can click on a picture of an officer or group of officers to see where in Texas they will be located. When a picture is clicked on, a Google Map displays the name of the town or city where the law enforcement official(s) will be active.
